Assignment Class 01 - Detective Dracula

So I've started attending a character design course to improve my portfolio, improve my anatomy, basically improve a lot of things. It's the first step of my gallery revival and hopefully, to learn new skills that will help me alot in the long run (and find a good position in the industry I wanna work in, not any industry that just grinds into my head like scratching on a chalkboard). It's gonna be a long road but I'm really enjoying it so far and the trainer and classmates are awesome.

So our first assignment is drawing our own interpretation of one of five horror movie characters and I picked Dracula. And somehow ten/twenty mins after the assignment announcement I was thinking corrupted detective Dracula from modern time. No idea but it sounded cool! This is my result.

I think from what I get, we might go back to this assignment to improve after some learning exercises. Do wanna improve more of his detective look (Im not gonna give him a pipe lol. Cigarettes sure. But pipe sounds too "snobbish" for the likes of him).

Oh additional thing: never pick a horror movie character your parent is a fan of. My mom constantly kept saying these lines: "but he's a bad guy! Detectives can't be bad!" "Draw his face like Christopher Lee" "Give him a cape and higher collar. The coat won't work". Ignore the details "corrupted detective Dracula from modern time"...ughhh...
